I am in receipt of memo 163971/19/20 from
dated 33.9.20, informing
that my Police pension was assessed at £74.13.4 per annum, but as
this amount is small for the requirements of life here under the present conditions at home, I am
taking
the liberty of placing the following facts before you with
a view of obtaining redress. I am at
present incapacitated for employment through services rendered in the Colonial Government of Hong Kong.
(1) Naval Service. 20.6.99 to 21.4.03
5 years.
Purchased discharge for the purpose of joining H.K. Police
(2) Police Service.
21.4.03 to 29.4.20
17 years service. 9 years deducted for pension pay.
Entitled to 12 months leave on full pay at the time of retirement, but apparently not taken into consideration
(3) Length of service Imperial & Colonial Government.
20 years.
under new scheme of pension Imperial & Colonial Government.
I have endeavoured to show from the points enumerated above, that this application is put forward not under any frivolous pretext, but from necessity, and trust that same may be given your early consideration and favourable reply.
